Poetry Submissions

Smoke publishes work by both unpublished and well-established poets. All submissions are read by the editorial team and considered on an equal basis.  Please read and follow the submissions guidelines below when submitting poems for consideration.

Submission Guidelines

  • Send a maximum of six poems to be considered for an issue.
  • Only send work that has not been previously published elsewhere.
  • Poems should be typed.
  • Please include a cover note, including your name, address and email.
  • Please put your name and address at the foot of each page.
  • Please send your submissions to the postal address below, including a stamped SAE for a response and the return of your poems, alternatively you can email your submission to windowsproject@btinternet.com with the subject line “Smoke Magazine Poetry Submission”.

Successful contributors will receive a copy of the issue their poem appears in.

For subscriptions, please send a cheque to the above address, made payable to Windows Project for £5.00, along with your name and address, to receive three issues.
