An Introduction

Smoke was established in 1974, and has kept to the simple format of sharp insightful poems and strong black and white graphics, with an international subscription list, and submissions from all over the world.

Poets have included Simon Armitage, Carol-Ann Duffy, Mirsolav Holub, Jackie Kaye, Roger McGough, Ian McMillan and Adrian Mitchell. Smoke encourages new contributors, whose work appears alongside poetry by established writers.
